In February we intend sending a third training team to India.

Expedition 2008 to Uganda

The 8th expedition to Uganda took place between August and September 2008. The team consisted of John Parham and ROI(Uganda) Reflexology Trainers. An article about the expedition is in process of being written.

Expedition 2007 to India

The second expedition to India took place in October/November 2007. There were 4 members and the team operated in Bodhgaya, Bihar and Kollum, Kerala. An article appearing in the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) magazine REFLECTIONS is shown here: Expedition 2007 to India.

Expedition 2006 to India

The first expedition to India took place in October/November 2006. There were 4 members and the team operated in Kolkata (Calcutta) with the Bengal Network for People living with HIV/AIDS (BNP+). Fact Finding Mission 2006 to Uganda

Mari Singleton spent two weeks in Uganda carrying out a fact finding mission to see how reflexology was being used. She visited sites at The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO), Hospice Africa and Medical Missionaries of Mary (MMM). Expedition 2005 to Uganda

Expedition 2004 to Uganda

The fifth expedition to Uganda took place between 14 October and 12 November 2004. There were 6 members and the team operated in Kampala, Mbale and Tororo. The team trained a total of 126 basic and advanced students of which 12 gained ROI(Uganda) Trainer status.

Explorer Expedition 2004 to India

In February 2004, our first Explorer Expedition went to India for 3 weeks. The purpose of an Explorer Expedition is to investigate a location to see whether the ROI should send a team there and to investigate essential planning considerations. Marilyn Williams carried out the solo expedition and focused on the Bodhgaya area in Bihar.

Expedition 2003 to Uganda - Follow On Training Team

In 2003, the fourth expedition went to Uganda in November for 18 days. There were 4 members and the team spent one weeks in Tororo and then a further week in Kampala. The team provided training for 73 people of which 2 gained ROI(Uganda) Reflexology Trainer and 12 gained ROI(Uganda) Student Reflexology Trainer status. Of these there were Unlike previous expeditions the team focused on one orgaisation, The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO).

The total number of people trained by the ROI in Uganda s now: 529

Expedition 2003 to Uganda

In 2003, the third expedition went to Uganda in July for a month. There were 8 members and the team spent two weeks in Tororo and then two weeks in Kampala. The team provided training for 126 people and included 4 people who gained ROI(Uganda) Reflexology Trainer status.

Expedition 2002 to Uganda

In 2002, the second expedition went to Uganda in October for 3 weeks There were 3 members and the team provided training in Tororo and Kampala. The team provided training to 46 people in basic reflexology.

The total number of people trained by the ROI in Uganda is now: 330

Expedition 2001 to Uganda

In 2001, the first expedition went to Uganda in July for a month. There were 7 members and the team spent two weeks in Tororo and then two weeks in Kampala. The team provided training to 284 people in basic reflexology. Over 20 organisations were involved including The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO), ACTION AID, Hospice Uganda, Mildmay International, Save the Children (UK) and some hospitals.
